Cleaning always leads to some sort of change...

Something always gets moved, switched out or re-vamped every time I clean. So, this is what went down today.  I had bought several luggage stickers when I was in Hawaii in hopes that I could use them somehow in the house as a little reminder of the amazing vacation. This is what I came up with! I simply just stuck the stickers in these glass frames and I really like how they turned out!

Another "trick" I've learned since starting this blog (lets not mention how terrible I've been at actually updating the blog...) is that it helps taking pictures of rooms. Things seems to stand out more when you look at a picture - too cluttered, wrong placement, need more color, etc. I used to have a lot more on this bookshelf but I think I've got it about right now...

Until next time...whenever that may be. :-)

Oh, Target

These curtains caught my eye as I was walking thru Target. Too bad I don't "need" any right now...

Worst. Blogger. Ever.

Well, something is better than nothing.... right??!!  Over the past few months I've found some little colorful accents for my room. Now just to find a few small pieces for my walls....

Wish list...

My wish list (seriously, move the decimal to the left one space and THEN we'd be in business. Until then; dreaming.) from Restoration Hardware... if you can't tell I'm really into the Orb style.

Ok, I'll stop now before I bore you all. :)

In case you were wondering...

where the painting went that I had in my room (when it was teal). I moved it over to my studio (office, craft room, etc). So here's a peek at that...

My Bedroom (so far)...

My bedroom has been one of those project that it took me a while to get it "just right" and it's still a work in progress. This is where it started...
... and then I painted it "Intense Teal" and loved it but found it was very hard to coordinate with anything else that didn't make it look like it was a teenagers room. So...

...I painted it Thunder Gray! (You'll see in future posts that I've gotten good use out of this color) The color really calms the room down (lets be honest, the teal was pretty bold & loud) and makes it much more relaxing.  I love having a white duvet cover and the perfect crisp burst of color (yes, color) but I'm sure at some point I'll get sick of having to wash it at least once a month! For now, it adds the perfect burst of color

Lamp Shades: TJ Maxx
Duvet Cover: Target
King Shams: West Elm
Euro Shams: Hautelook (no longer available)
Small Gray Pillow: Target
Curtains: West Elm
Mirrors: Target (not the same mirror but something like it)
Catching onto a theme? I REALLY love Target & West Elm. :)
The walls are still bare but I'm still on the quest of finding/making the perfect things!

Mirror: IKEA
Decorative Branches: West Elm

(Sorry about the spots...)
I bought this dresser years ago when I first moved to town.
Still enjoying it as much now as I did back then!
